About the Event
This session will focus on the power of language when describing landscapes, with a focus on the language used to depict and represent peatlands. We will explore ideas such as the relationship between language and land, what we lose in our understanding of the land when we no longer have the words to express it, and how the land is reflected in the origin and use of words.
We will start the book club itself at 19.30 but will have dinner together (via zoom!) first at 19.00
